Will UF take PHY2048C as a credit for PHY2048 and PHY2048L

Hi
I am transferring from another four-year university and one of the required courses for my major is Phy2048 and the lab, Phy2048L. I wanted to take the course in the summer so I can take Phy2049 in the fall, however, the only Physics 1 offered in the summer was the studio class (PHY2048C) which is the lecture and lab together. It is five credits and basically the same thing as Phy2048 and Phy2048L. If I’m not mistaken, the class should transfer over as long as the letters and numbers match up right? Can anyone confirm because I already took the class this summer and don’t know if I can take it again as PHY2048 and PHY2048L since I already have the credit for Physics 1.

You should definitely give admissions a call to confirm but I remember seeing a course equivalence sheet a while back that had PHY2048C listed as an approved substitute.

Thanks! Yeah I plan on calling them again tomorrow but I once tried to ask the CISE advisor about what classes would transfer and all he told me was that if they’re part of the courses required for CSE, then they will transfer over. Super vague answer.

Spoke to an advisor from UF and can confirm that PHY2048C and PHY2049C will count if anyone else is wondering.
