Yes, the longer they wait to post decisions, the more time for my D to get invested in the schools she’s been accepted too and the less likely she would visit again (especially since we are on West Coast). We did go in Feb since we paired it with a trip to UVA where she’s been accepted. She really liked it but it’s a whole different feel when you tour as an admitted student. The one plus side of the delay is that she’s had time to get excited about other schools so a rejection won’t sting as much.

so true the timing of decisions plays a big part in how they view the school. in addition to 3 RDs, my DD has some great acceptances and deferrals she is waiting on. she is struggling getting super excited about any of her acceptances until she knows all of her options.

Did anyone get a recent email (yesterday?) from W&M saying that decisions would be coming out by April 1? My DC didn’t get one but a friend’s DC did.

Yes, what did you notice? I don’t see anything different.
I think my S’s portal has changed a bit too. For example, his standardized test scores are now gone. Also, the top paragraphs seem to be slightly different (longer?). For example, it now says, “Your application portal status page is evolving, so please check back periodically.” I don’t remember exactly what it said before, but the whole thing looks slightly different to me. There is a home button that I don’t remember before either?

I had my son’s official test scores sent and they said received on the checklist at the top, but they never appeared on the bottom, was he also supposed to self report? I do see the longer paragraph with that language about evolving portal as well as home button, I’m not sure if it was there before or not though either.

I believe W&M wanted official test scores anyway, so no need to self report if College Board already sent them. But I’m pretty sure there was a box under the test scores section that listed which tests were received/test date(s), and that’s gone

Who knows? But IT is certainly working to get something ready for release. My S will be checking, that’s for sure!

Bummer, my son had great scores that says received but they were never listed in that area ever. I hope it was taken into consideration with his application.
Dunno, but I dearly hope so. It is DD #1 and the last she is waiting for.
