Hey, here's my info applying to Villanova's college of liberal arts and sciences:

*Note: Villanova doesn't make their decision until late March, so they require that I send my senior year 7th semester updated transcript, and i think this may help me a lot seeing as since Villanova is a smaller school they will notice my grade trend more. Thus, I'll include my current as of senior year information in brackets!

GPA:3.33 weighted (3.5 on updated transcript) 3.17 unweighted (3.3 on updated transcript)

Weighted GPA: 5.2/6 (kind of low because of a few non-honors courses freshman year)
Rank: My school doesn't rank, but at least Top 20%. I know I'm not Top 20%. I go to a really competitive public school

Recs: I didn't see any of them
Guidance Counselor - really large public school with a class around 560+ seniors. my counselor has around 80 seniors so I doubt the rec stands out
Chem Teacher - she really liked me so I think this rec is at least decent if not good
Math Teacher - I wasn't his best student, but I practically wrote the rec for him. the info i gave was a little last minute and rushed thought

Essays:
Personal Statement - fine
Common App Essay - wrote about an experience when volunteering at the local First Aid Squad. kind of sad story about a patient passing away on a CPR call. basically, the story was about how this incident inspired me to live life, strive for our goals while we still can, and leave no regrets behind.

Key Club (9-12 grade) - leadership position
FIRST Robotics (11-12) - leadership position

Male from Arkansas
SAT (taken twice): 2030 (650R, 700M, 680W)
Unweighted GPA: 3.17
Weighted GPA: 3.27
Class Size: 600 (public school)
Class rank: top 17-20%

Honors Math courses 8th through 12th grade, 3 AP's: AP Statistics (4), AP Physics (2), and AP Computer Science (1).

My grade trend is essentially 3.40 freshman year, 2.90 sophomore year, 3.40 junior year, and 3.60 senior year.

EC's: High school baseball, special needs brother, a little volunteering (and by a 'little' I mean only several hours one day), member of three clubs.

Rec's: Even though I got a 2 on the Physics exam, my Physics teacher is writing my rec. Although I obviously cannot know for sure, I think he will say only positive things and even spin the fact that my 2 on the exam was his fault --- it hardly was. So, point being, my rec should be strong.

Essay: Assume it is at least averagely good.
