After sending in the enrollment confirmation, how many days did it take for you to get the code ??

I sent mine last Saturday but it hasn’t come in the mail yet and I can’t even sign up for orientation yet. >_<*

No one here tried transferring from WSU? Is it impossible?

I sent my measles immunization last week via a .jpeg in an email, still no updates. I want to sign up for orientation!

I got an email saying they got my immunization record. But I have no news about the Access code needed in order to sign up for orientation. >_< I wanna sign up too!!

Once my NSEOF was confirmed pay for (same day because I hand delivered it) I was able to schedule my orientation. I did not need to wait for the measles vaccination to go through. I don’t know what code you’re referring to, I didn’t need a code to sign up for orientation.

My major was psych. Arnold, I don’t think it’s impossible to transfer. But I think your chances are pretty slim. UW has said they give priority to in-state CC transfers, and the lowest priority is actually given to 4 year college transfers. But it wouldn’t hurt to try

@travelgirl: Oh really? They were saying something about a “PAC code” o_O

thanks so much travelgirl i guess i have to wait another week… xP

In response to “Arnold, I don’t think it’s impossible to transfer. But I think your chances are pretty slim. UW has said they give priority to in-state CC transfers, and the lowest priority is actually given to 4 year college transfers. But it wouldn’t hurt to try”

I am actually a four year college transfer from NYU, coming in as a sophomore to UW for winter. Honestly, every person that is transferring is looked at on case-by-case basis, just apply and see what happens.

applying to summer quarter, how do you figure CC gets top priority? it says min. of incoming acceptance of CC is 30% on UW site

UW has said that they give priority to CC transfers, especially those with their AA. And did you get into UW as a freshman floridaorngjuice? Because I feel like it’s easier to transfer if you don’t have 2 years worth of college grades, if your grades in high school were really good (or if you got in when you were in high school). A girl i know just transferred from UCSB for winter quarter, but she got in last year. She’s only a freshman right now too.

If I could get a WSU BA in 2 years total would it even be good to transfer to UW where it might take 3.5 years total?

yeah, I guess they do, when I called about applying after the deadline the admissions counselor I talked to said that I could apply but be ready to go to community college for a while and then reapply.

I was admitted as a freshman in 2008, in the class of 2012 through the Academy, which is the early admittance program for sophomores in high school, but I really don’t think that made any difference for getting in as a transfer

Is anyone here planning to dorm this Winter?

I’m a little too old for that ;). I’m on the waitlist for married housing

Also…am I the only person worried about getting the classes they want? I slowly watch all of the classes fill up every day. I hope by the time I get my orientation there’s a useful class for me to take

travelgirl,

yes I am worried!! But I’ve heard from current students that just becuase it says it’s full doesn’t mean it’s full for newly enrolling transfers. If there is a required class and it says 200/200, the school knows they just accepted 20 transfers that must take that class the first quarter they’re enrolled (like Soc 300) and will save space. I have been told by a number of students and my boss (a UW prof) that unless the classroom’s at capacity for fire code (which is usually much higher than the number of chairs fitting in a classroom), they can always add more students.
