46 credits completed/15 pending, Applying to LSA
College GPA: 3.75
High school gpa: sub 2.5 (eh)
SAT: 1880(1260)</p>
<p>Does Michigan take into account the difficulty of your courses? I’ve taken physics, orgo, bio, chem, calc I+II, econ, and biostats. While this schedule isn’t monstrously tough, it isn’t exactly a walk in the park either.</p>

U havent provide much information, but based on w/e you posted, I will say: 15-20%. The actual transfer admission rate for LSA is about 40%. Since both of your HS and college gpa is relatively low, your chance won’t be as high. My # is arbitrary, soo, yeaaa</p>

Krazieh0bo: College GPA is almost the whole focus on sophomore transfers and above (like football462). For freshmen, more weight is placed on high school grades and SAT scores. Every officer has their personal preferences, but I would consider the freshman college GPA just a little more important than high school ones, especially when midterm grades are also sent in.</p>

<p>Is a 3.75 too low for LSA? I know my high school GPA is very low, but surely that shouldn’t be that big of a factor since I’m applying as a junior not a sophomore?</p>

3.840 over 49 credits at Rutgers, 70 in total
4.0 in major (Math, 23 credits) with somewhat rigorous course load. I guess it depends on who you asked.
Tutored all three semesters, mentored as well. Nothing else lol</p>

<p>@football462, 3.75 is not bad at all and considering you earned that from the U, you shouldn’t have many problems with it. If you are close to have 60 credits, the admissions office won’t even consider your high school grades anymore. I think you’ll be fine if you have about 60 credits completed by the end of this semester and write decent essays. Personally, I transferred in for Winter 2012 with a 3.71 gpa and 46 credits completed (but also 23 AP credits) so I wouldn’t worry too much about a 3.75. </p>
<p>@Krazieh0bo, for transfer admissions, the process is much more straightforward. GPA and credits are by far the most important things and essays, ecs and whatever else takes secondary importance. As long as you have the GPA and have a decent amount of credits, you should be fine. Essays and ECs can’t make up for a really bad GPA but they can help a borderline student get admitted. </p>

<p>My main concern is GPA in both HS and College. I had a calculus class which killed me…</p>
