Winter 2015 Transfer Thread

I was curious about the same thing. I do not personally think I will be admitted due to not having junior standing. However, considering it is the winter as opposed to the fall, I wonder if my chances will be slightly improved.

I mean since there’s so many factors going into admission, you never know

however, I think you’ll probably get in given if you have strong essays, they like people with 4.0’s, my friend got in last year with a 4.0 and applied only with 15 credits, he applied for fall 2014 and by the end of the semester I think he had 29 credits.

Only time will tell

have any of you guys submitted rec letters?

Chance me?
Applying to LSA for Biochemistry
College GPA: 3.5 from OCC (56 credits, 16 pending)
HS GPA: 2.6
ACT: 31
Extracurriculars:
Pharmacy Technican for 1 year at Walgreen’s

I submitted one rec letter.

I submitted the common app on the 26th and today my application material was uploaded to WA. Turns out that my final high school transcript was never received by them so i just sent it out today.

Will my application still be considered for admission? They have my high school transcript from when I applied during high school although it isn’t the final one.

That’s a good question :/, should go ask them about it via their online chat thing with a representative from their admissions office

If anyone is looking for an apartment to move into next semester, I am subletting an apartment in Landmark (fully furnished with great amenities and very close to the diag). Please let me know if you would like additional information. http://liveatlandmark.com

I also would like to know the stats of how many get accepted for winter semester. I read somewhere it was easier but by that the percentage was about 37%of total applicants. Also I wonder how many get in as a first semester freshman. I was Deferred. Wait listed. Moved on and want to give it another try to get in now.

Accepted!

I got the email this morning and I’m completely shocked. I never thought that I would get in! Now I have to choose between Michigan and Minnesota which is going to be extremely tough.

My stats were posted on the previous page, but I’ll post them again:

College GPA: 3.96 from an American community college
College Credits: 48 at the moment, but I’ll have 65 after this upcoming fall semester.
HS GPA: 2.0? I’m not sure. Something terrible.
No ACT/SAT
Extracurriculars: Olympic weightlifting, phi theta kappa, real estate agent, some academic awards won.

With your extracurriculars, GPA, and transferable credits, im not surprised you got on. Youre a definite accept in my book!

Thank you, I appreciate it! Your stats are fantastic as well, and I’m sure your acceptance letter is on the way! Good luck to everyone!

Congrats rockingthequest!

Gratz Rockingthequest!!!

But seriously anyone else dying a little inside everyday a decision is not sent haha

Yeah me…ugh LOL ive been checking everyday even though I know most of us will get decisions in november

November? I thought it was more like 4-6 weeks after submitting? Which works for when rocking turned theirs in.

If you follow the threads from previous years, majority heard back in november

I think it’s just the definite accepts are accepted this early
