I'm a freshman about to register for classes. I wanted to know if I should take Poli30 this quarter or wait until my sophomore year.

i’m a freshman and i’m taking poli30 this quarter because Professor Kousser is teaching.

^thanks
Does anyone know if french 1c/cx will be offered in the spring? I know there is a schedule of language courses, but i seems to be wrong. I know it’s offered next quarter, but I’d much rather take in during the spring.

go see if it was offered last spring

i have a question about winter classes too, im looking at Schedule of Classes (since it isnt my reg time yet) and when i look at BILD1, i dont see like the number of students in the DI/number of students possible.

why?

^ I’m taking BILD 1 next quarter also, and I would also like to know why.

Biology classes don’t enroll kids into discussions, just into the class. You’ll pick your discussion after you’re already in the class.

^ When will we get to pick the times for our discussion? Do we get to pick them in order of enrollment times?

So if french 1c/cx was offered spring 2010 does that mean it will be offered spring 2011? Also does anyone know about Mus14 (Contemporary Music)?

I think the language sequences go like this:

1A - Fall
1B - Winter
1C - Spring

So I think you should be fine with 1C in Spring.

^that’s what i thought too but french c is being offered this quarter but i want to make sure it is also offered during the spring

I’m pretty certain it’ll be offered during Spring. Since most people usually start a language in the Fall, it would only make sense that the third course of the sequence be offered in Spring.

do u know if there is any way i can find that out for sure

@adl0816

You usually pick the the first week of class and it depends on the professor for how you sign up for them, it won’t be by enrollment time though.

@nicholep: I guess you can try emailing Francoise, the French program coordinator. Here’s her email: fsantore@ucsd.edu

@Kings: So what happens if I end up getting in a discussion that conflicts with another class? Will I get to pick something that I can definitely go to?
