Wireless internet

Will it be in my dorm? I'm in the new new wing of Baker...should I bring a wireless router or what?

You’ll have it in your room. Plus you can get wireless in Baker commons and pretty much all over campus. Welcome to Baker! I’m in new new wing this year too

Wireless is pretty good, no need for a router. The wired connection is really fast so you might want to bring an ethernet cable.

Yeah, I just look at my O-Week book again and it said that there is wifi. Thanks

bring a router if you want a non shared connection. I ran my private wireless while I was there. Makes filesharing/ running movies off your NAS drive a lot easier.

^ I thought you graduated you silly wiessman. Still protecting the Rice forum?

Im still working with the Rice administration in my free time… not gone yet. Still here, trying to answer questions

To be fair, I’m now thousands of miles away from Rice and yet I still keep an eye on these forums.

Not a knock towards yall at all! It’s awesome that you guys are hear to answer questions

ill be around too. Be the creepy graduate. :D

How is starcraft 2 btw man? I’m buying a sweet macbook pro 08 with my summer earnings and it’s on the top of my list

sc2 is pretty awesome. My desktop is currently out of order though. it runs SC2 on the highest settings, so when it was working - it was pretty sweet.

Not much time to play though. Work and social life take up most of the day

There is always time for a quick game of sc :)

comp needs to work first. dont want to put it on my work laptop
