Wisconsin, Minnesota, Colorado MT Schools

Does anyone have any knowledge/ experience they could share on the following MT Programs: U. of WI-Stevens Point, MSU-Mankato, Mesa State College, and U. of Northern Co.?

desdamon,

I'm guessing you are fellow MN. ? U of WI- Stevens Point is where my son's friend went for one year - but then she dropped out - to play Sandy in Grease - first at the Chan then on Broadway. My daughter attended MSU - but for Physics. However she went to a number of performance and said they were really well done and with a brother in theatre she has lots to compare. S also has a guy friend who went there years ago - who has performed at the Guthrie and is now I think in NYC. The campus is a very nice size and the area is lovely. I'd be happy to share other experiences of looking for MT schools if you would like to PM me.

I went to school at UWSP roughly several hundred years ago. However, as I've worked my way through the biz I've kept in contact with several of the faculty members. It is a fine school that attracts some really high quality faculty (which given where it is, isn't easy.) They have a newly renovated fine arts center - I haven't been there, but I hear it's nice.

UWSP has a ton of folks out working. A few on B'way, but most of us are in primarily regional theatre, and some of us are old enough to now be teaching :)

U of Northern Col. has a real up and coming type of reputation. I know some of the faculty and they are top notch.
