<p>I haven't seen the postmark. But SUBAdmissions wrote that they are sending acceptances only. As far as I remember, on Thursday he wrote that they were "just mailed" .</p>
<p>HC acceptances went out on Tuesday; everything else should go out this week.</p>

<p>I ended up calling the Honors College today as I was confused as well whether or not they send out both acceptances and rejections. The gentleman I spoke to informed me that they send out both -- so you should hear either way. In addition, he indicated that not all of the letters have gone out -- that some files were being held for various different reasons. Not sure what those reasons are though. The thing I find interesting is if the letters were sent out on Tuesday, why did it take until Saturday for folks in NYC to get them? Must not be sent via 1st class mail or else the mail system is mighty slow on Long Island! When I received my admission package, two other kids at my school received theirs the day before I did, yet all three were sent on the same day from Stony Brook.</p>

<p>It takes a few days to get out of our mail room, actually. For example, we get two pickups every day. If they pick up a bunch of stuff in the morning pickup, it might go out that day, or possibly the next day; if they pick it up at 2:00, it might not actually get out until two days later. Just the way it is, unfortunately.</p>
<p>Word on scholarships (finally) is that they'll be out this week.</p>

<p>It's not just about GPA and SAT... the Honors College takes into consideration lots of factors. Hang in there and hopefully you'll get notification soon!</p>
