Yah i mean if i got in with 19 Ws and spending like 5 years at CC- i think you can do it

Granted though i had good essay, some awesome work experience and family circumstances that prevented anything other than what i did.

lovaberin> I with Malishka on this one. I also had 19 Ws on my record and got into Cal and UCLA as a History Major (well prehistory major for UCLA as they make that distinction).

Personal essays and an upward grade trend are extremely important.

Wow i cant believe anyone else had 19

high five lol

im anthro B.S. major!! sorry to reply so late!

high fives Malishka I think we are the highest ranking Ws here :)

i have probably an odd question, but here it is.
I took Calc 1 in the fall of my first year and got a D. Now this summer i decided to retake it, figuring since i took it before, it shouldn't be that bad, but its dawned on me that the pace is just too fast for me to get a competitive grade, so i dropped and got a W. most of the UCLA majors say that if you repeat a required class more than 1 time, u are ineligible for transfer into that major, which kind of freaks me out now since im not sure if that W is counted as a retake or if i get another shot. I was planning on retaking it this fall, but if im already unable to transfer to any major that has a calc requirement, then im gonna need to gravely rethink what i plan to do for transfer. other than that class ive had straight As, and 1 B, so my gpa sits at around a 3.7, any insight would be helpful, thanks
