Withdrawing an application

I have already gotten into all of my top four schools and have two more with regular deadlines. I have already submitted my applications via the CommonApp to those schools (BU and Syracuse specifically) and paid the fees. However, I have not submitted (or even started) the supplements. I figure it would be a huge waste of time to do the three essays if I have no intention of going to either of these schools. If I withdraw my application before January 1st, can I get the fees back?

unfortunately, no. But congratulations on your acceptances!

Correct. Just consider it a good problem to have. Imagine if NO college had yet accepted you and you were sweating to finish your final ones, not having much info on what would occur. Just chalk it up to serendipity.

I agree with the above, but I would also drop the admissions offices an email saying that you are withdrawing your applications. It would not be fair to have people waste their time figuring out what you still lack in your application, making decisions based on what they have, perhaps conditionally accepting you and therefore rejecting someone else, and taking up the time they could be giving to someone else. It is the polite thing to do, and they would certainly appreciate it. Congratulations on this "problem!"
