I just got back from the Early Admit Engineering Open House Weekend (which was AMAZING, btw), but I can't remember something they said. One girl said that all female engineering intents were sorted into one of five halls. I remember Lewis and PE were two of them, but what are the other three?

Farley and Cavanaugh have female engineering intents also.

hmm I always thought there were only three: Welsh Fam, Farley, and Lewis. But yah, coming from a current Welsh Fam resident and civil engineer.

This is rather interesting news - i guess the so-called sorting computer isn’t totally random

I also know of some female engineers in McGlinn as well

They do it because there are so few female engineers and they want us to be as comfortable as possible as well as have a sort of “support” system. But, by no means if on the application someone puts engineering GUARANTEES her a slot in one of the dorms because, yes, there are many many female engineers in other dorms… but they do tend to sort female engineers into the selected dorms. I remember during FroshO when we met with people in the hall, how shocked I was that half of the RA’s and many girls I met were engineers. haha then I found out later why.
