Woodlands at Gainesville

I've been looking into these apartments and was just wondering if anybody has some additional info, maybe from their own experience or something. Seems like a nice place but then again all apartments try to look appealing lol. Any input would be appreciated

It is only a year old, so thats pretty good. I had friends who lived there last year, and they liked it.

Very nice, but very far from campus and only one bus.

Thats one of my concern, its too new. New means less experience for office staff and extra construction. Not sure if this will be the case at woodlands…

@illusionsx: it doesn’t seem that far from campus, its like a 5 minute drive (I have a car)

It’s maybe a five minute drive with no traffic, which is extremely rare. You’re not going to be driving to campus - there is no parking for students who do not live on campus, with the exception of park and ride lots, and even those are usually full during the day. And buses don’t take the most direct route - they loop around and weave through neighborhoods and might be going in the totally opposite direction for a little while.

yeah, the route is on kind of sucks (20 or 21), but you are early in the route, so it won’t be that hard to get on it (coming back is a different story). You definitely won’t be driving unless you can get a friend to give/sell you their Red Decal (which is technically illegal). The Park n Ride decal is garbage. It would take you just as long to take a bus from the Woodlands.
