<p>this topic has been discussed several times before. you're only human, so one "simple grammatical mistake" shouldn't really have any effect on your essay's quality or on you admission to the college</p>
<p>colleges don't care much as long as the whole essay isn't filled with grammatical errors that make the meaning unclear. One mistake will probably go unnoticed. Adcoms aren't usually made up of English teachers.</p>
