Hey,

I was wondering where do we go to find the on-campus work study positions for Cornell? Also...how do we go about applying? I'd actually like to be a peer counselor ( I think I saw that somewhere) or maybe work for Gannett if that's possible?

Also...I want to do some volunteer work. Is there a website Cornell uses to coordinate all of the places needing Cornell volunteers? I had this at my other school and it was really helpful.

Also, is there any volunteer work that would be health related?...I may need it for medical school.

Thanks!

You do need medically related volunteer work. Gannett and Cayuga Medical provide great opportunities for Cornell students.

This link should get you to the job listings...it's always being updated. Cornell University Student Employment

If you want to do peer counseling...check out the organization EARS. They do have a training process...so it's better to join early on in your time at Cornell.

Thanks Dew!

1 - Do I just go to their websites and email them about it? And..will the TCAT take me to Cayuga? Is it far?

3 - How long is training?

Cayuga Med is probably 3 miles from campus...there is a bus that goes there. You can search the site and see what kind of opportunities they have.

I wasn't a member of EARS so I don't know much...but I think the training lasts at least 1 semester.
