Hey everyone. I've been provisionally accepted into SJSU since February, problem is my Physics (Mechanics) grade is slipping fast and I have a failed Calc 3 class. I had to withdraw from Calc 3 the second time I took it, and then I tried to retake it again this semester, but there were no available seats left as they had cut the class down. Everything else is fine though... I meet SJSU's four basic skills and did fine in my GE classes. I'm also taking a C/C++ class and I'm acing that as well. My major is Computer Engineering. What are my chances of being rescinded? I'm just worried of my Physics and Calc 3 class...

I don’t know if an F and a low grade in the other class will cause being rescinded. It is possible, though.

One thing to also look at is to figure out if you still have 60 transferable units since you won’t get credit for the failed class. If you drop below 60, you are almost guaranteed to be automatically rescinded.

Basically a human will be looking at your final transcript before transfer–and that is when you shift from provisional to fully accepted–so you may just want to talk to a human right now rather than waiting in the dark for how these kinds of cases (of failed classes) go.

I have way over 60 units right now. I think I have something like over 90 units. I’m actually going to visit SJSU soon to talk to an adviser. What do you guys suggest I ask them??

Anyone know what I should do? I’ve been studying a lot trying to boost my grade up…

Your admission will most like be rescinded in this case.
