Worried about Grades and Majors

During my my senior year, I'm getting a D- in calculus AP right now, and it may plummet down to a F. I already emailed the admissions office for UCR and told them about this grade, but I haven't gotten an email back to them, but I already turned in my SIR. When I called, the girl who picked was ****ed at me just saying "Wait the 10 days for them to respond" whenver when I kept insisting to her the SIR was due in a few days. I'm still waiting for a response, but I'm scared I may get rescinded for this...
My A-G says for math I have the full 30/30 credits on it, but I only took about two math classes. First year I took Algebra 2 with a B, then next year I took Pre-Calculus with a C, junior year I took Pre-Calculus again so I would have the grade to take Calculus. And now Im in Calculus failing it miserably. First semester I got a C second one is looking to be a F right now.
So as of right now, I'm waiting for the letter still to tell me if they will take me still....but this is still making me uneasy. Do you guys think it'll loose me acceptance? And if I do, would I be able to get into UCSB? They said that if only my grade in Calculus fails, ill be fine...but its wayy past the SIR. If it makes any difference, I'm going in as a Biology major.

Also this is a question im asking for my friend, is there anything at UCR for undergrad architecture? Interior design? Looking at the majors there seems to be nothing there for either of them except art, and the art is just for history of all of them...

Thanks for your response guys, any help is greatly appreciated!

Yea, calling them is really hard and plus, you’d also get what wouldn’t expect to receive, at least in my experience. Best thing for you to do is talk to their counselor. I’m on the same boat as you, and I have no gotten an email back from them yet.

I was once in the same situation as you. I talked to my high school counselor to see what could happen if there is a D/F in a class:

If you’re lucky, they’ll still let you in with a D/F if your major doesn’t really require it

If your other grades are REALLY good, like mostly A’s, and your SAT score is really good, they can still accept you, but put you on academic probation.

Or they can just rescind you.

Sorry I don’t have much, but the best thing you can probably do is talk to your counselor, he or she will know what to do.

Thanks guys, my counselor just said to email and wait for a response…great big help she was. Im entering my 12th day STILL waiting for a response. Santa Barbara had the courtesy to at least respond within a few days. So heres to gambling they don’t rescind me! ;</p>

I’ll bet you a cookie that you get in :P
