Worried

So a few of my friends have been receiving acceptance decisions from Binghamton in the past week. Our grades and overall application were very similar. 2 of them live extremely close to me, about 5-10 minutes away. I was wondering if Binghamton was accepting students based on averages or anything at all? Does anyone know the pattern that Binghamton is sending out their acceptances? Some people say its averages and some say its by last name but the last name one doesn't really seem to make sense. I'm worried sick because Bing is my top choice. Also, if I got into Geneseo, what are my chances of getting into Bing?

What are your Stats?

GPA 3.7 1300/1930 My AP English teacher said my essay was great and my letters of recommendation were from 2 AP teachers I had for 2 years in a row.

Sounds like you have a good change. I have seen people admitted with those STATS good luck. My daughter was deferred from EA to RD. WE are waiting…Good Luck! Havent you heard from Geneseo?

Thank you! Good luck to your daughter as well. I was accepted into Geneseo a few days ago. However my acceptance into Geneseo was within the days of my friends’ acceptance to Geneseo as well and I’ve figured out my mailman’s route. That’s why this is worrying me so much.

Does anyone have any idea?

Im guessing the end of March.

Hi 2017graduate,

My name is Rob and I’m a Binghamton University Student Ambassador.

Not hearing back yet from the university is by no means cause for alarm! Binghamton received over 30,000 applications this year, and it takes quite a lot of time to sort through them all. All application decisions will still be sent out by April 1st.

Good luck!

Graduate 2017- your stats are strong and competitive for SUNYB. My son was 1330 with 3.7 GPA and was accepted. I would not worry as ambassador said 30,000 apps are a lot. Good Luck !

Thank you guys so much! Those were much needed reassurances. I really hope I do get accepted.
