Worth going to senior prom without a date?

I didn't go to my junior prom which was just a few days ago. But I heard that prom is a once in a lifetime opportunity and that if I don't take the opportunity, it'll be lost forever. I'm not too disappointed that I didn't go to junior prom but I am planning to go to senior prom, although not sure if I should go if I don't have a date.

Should I go anyway, even without a date, to senior prom? Would it be worth the money?

I really don't want to pass up this once in a life time opportunity, but I will if I don't enjoy prom. I'm not the type of person who enjoys dancing/etc.

I vote GO!

Will it be worth it (all the money and everything) without a date though? Will I have fun?

Yes, it will be worth it! GO!!! :)

If looking at a bigger picture, it isn’t worth it IMO. Prom is great and all, and you would undoubtedly create some great memories. However, I think that much money can be better spent elsewhere, and looking back five, ten years down the road, is prom going to be so important? It’s one blip in one relatively short phase of your life.
That being said, do what you want to do. Listen to your mind and heart, not to peer pressure.

I really think you should go. Due to hapless circumstances, I won’t have a date to my prom, which is in less than a month. Although I am slightly less excited because of that, I will not allow my lack of a date to hinder me from having a good time. Prom, as cheesy as it is, is one of those aspects of high school that really is a lot of fun and you won’t want to miss out on.

And if you’re a junior, you still have ways to go before your senior prom. Who knows, by then you may have a date.

I’ve definitely posted this opinion before on cc - but here it is again.

Yes. It’s worth it. Screw them dates. You’re better off without. No date = no hassle. Just go with a bunch of friends. =)
