Would double major in film/photography and psychology be too much?

I have an interest in film/photography, but I would also like to pursue psychology in college. I am planning on going into neurology for Grad School or Med school after undergrad. I am not sure if I could handle the workloads for both majors, so if you have any experience or know anyone who major in film and psych, please share your opinions and tips! Thank you so much!

In what area of film are you interested in (production, screenwriting, producing, film studies, etc.)? It is possible to double major if you can manage your time well. Keep in mind that film major requires a lot of time and dedication to details. There will be scheduling involvement, organizing, working with others on a set, long hours, shooting, editing, etc. So be sure you’re comfortable with that idea.

Thank you so much for your input! I’m interested in the cinematography and editing (not sure if they’re within producing or directing) I’m ok with working long hours, cuz it’s not like i’m getting any sleep now (or the past 2 years) haha. What I’m worried about is the workload in psych major. I know that you have to write a lot of papers and do a lot of researches and stuff like that… Do you know how any time management tips for double majors?

Also, I know this is kind of off-topic, but would psychology help me get in med school for neurology? What are some other classes that I need to take while being an undergrad for neurology?

In terms of workload, it depends on the school you’re planning to attend. For example, Chapman University offers some courses during interterm period. That is helpful and beneficial to Chapman’s students. Most schools out there don’t offer interterm. If you plan to double major, you’ll need to spread out your course load, don’t try to take all the tough courses at the same time. It may take 5-6 years to complete. Keep in mind that your undergrad GPA is very important along with your MCAT in order to apply to med school. Usually for the people who want to complete their undergrad in 4 years to only take one major plus a minor. For the people who are in an undergrad film program, it’s wise to go straight into their career field directly after their undergrad degree.
