Would going to this school for a year and then transferring be smart of me to do?

I live in Georgia and It is way past the May 1 deadline, but many of the colleges I got accepted into are pushing back deadlines until June. I committed to GA southern, but I’m now having doubts, feeling like the atmosphere may not be for me, especially since I never got to tour or get a feel of the place. I’m not completely certain in how good friends my roommates and I would be as much as we would just get along, and I only chose to go there because the school I wanted to go to would’ve been out of state and with Covid-19, I didn’t want to risk having to pay 20k to do my year online or 40k on campus. I was thinking of going to Kennesaw State, which is about half an hour from where we live. I figured with everything going on, I’ll go and maybe live on campus, try to make new friends, get a job, figure out which school in Florida I want to go to next year, actually get to tour and get my GPA up and hopefully get scholarships. The difference between the two is that Kenessaw isnt as much of a college town, but I’ll have my family nearby my first year and many of my current friends. I know that’s probably all things I had to do and figure out this senior year but I feel like the year went by in a stressful flash and I’m now sitting here anxious and unsure of everything. Would going to KSU, getting my mind together and then transferring my sophomore year to where I want to be a smart choice? Or should I stick it out this year and try at Georgia Southern?

It makes good sense to go to KSU for a year and then apply for transfer if you decide you’d rather be somewhere else. However, there is the risk that you won’t be accepted as a transfer applicant. So the question really is, If you aren’t able to transfer out, will you be happy to complete your education at KSU?
