My maternal grandfather went to Colgate College and then to Columbia for medical school. Would I be considered a legacy? Thanks!

No, you would not. Here is a quote directly from Columbia’s website.

“Please note: applicants are considered to be legacies of Columbia only if they are the children of Columbia College or Columbia Engineering graduates.”

You’re not a legacy, but you should still note it on the application where it asks if any relatives have gone to Columbia.

Alright, thanks both of you.
