<p>Hi, I am in my third quarter at De Anza CC. I was thinking about pursuing an Econ major at first, but now I have decided to go for a science major. The problem is that I am behind in the science requirements. I have not taken any crucial science classes such as General Chem and Biology... </p>
<p>I want to TAG to UCI's Pharmaceutical Scienes major. The requirements are:
Additional Requirements
Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 (3.2 for TAG)
Complete one year of general chemistry with laboratory with grade of B- or better in each course
Complete one year of biology courses with laboratory equivalent to UC Irvine's BIO SCI 93 and 94 with a grade of B- or better in each course
(TAG Applicants: one course required for the major needs to be completed with required grades by the summer prior to the TAG submission period)
Recommended
One year of calculus or a combination of calculus and statistics
One year of calculus-based physics with laboratory</p>
<h2>One year of organic chemistry with lab</h2>
<p>This upcoming Spring quarter, I will be taking Chem 50(intro chem), which is not even Chem1A =(. And I will be taking Chem 1A and Bio6A in the summer. Is it likely that I will be denied for UCI's TAG for 2014 since I haven't gotten most of the pre-reqs for the Pharmaceutical major done at all? My GPA is 4.0, I am almost done with IGETC, and have finished the Calc sequence, btw.</p>
