Hey guys,

I just got contacted by an alumni interviewer. Do you think it would be rude to ask for an interview on a sunday? I know sundays are usually reserved for the family, but my schedule is packed on saturdays.

say "if your schedule permits, it would be best to interview on sunday" but acknowlege that you would be willing to do it any day at his/her convenience.

No. When you talk to them and set up the interview, say that Sunday is the best day for you. They will understand that you are very busy. Just say that if they want to go some other time in the week, it is ok. I had to switch my Yale interview a few days before it because something came up, and she wasn't annoyed. I made sure that she was ok with it, and told her that it would be fine if the change couldn't be made.

yes, cheers mates! I actually used the if your schedule permits version, haha, ^^

I think I said something like "unless it is inconvenient for you..."

when you're done, be sure to thank them not only at the end of the interview but also with a thank you email or note. it shows that you are gracious and also is positive reminder while the interviewer is writing up his/her evaluation.

I was thinking of sending a nice thank your card, I guess that's appropriate.

I can't help wearing an orange sweater for my interview, its part of my school uniform and the timing of the interview is such that I won't be able to change. So I guess it shouldn't be too much of a problem?

Don't over-analyze it. You'll be fine.
