wpi vs uconn honors for premed

major biomedical engineering
goal med school
wpi 10=12 k more per year
what is the best course of action d
comments opinions thoughts ?

Both are good options. Think about the environment in which you want to spend the next four years (smaller private school with more student-faculty interaction vs. large public university with good athletics and more varied student body) and also about the cost. Cost is especially important here since medical school is expensive unlike graduate schools in the sciences or a job which pay. However, also recognize that the extra $10k a year is not a lot compared to the cost of medical school.

I don’t think one will have a significantly stronger academic program or reputation for medical schools than the other but you should really consider what you want and what you can afford and make the decision based on those factors. The student body at WPI is probably slightly stronger; however, this is partially compensated by the stronger yet student body within the honors college.
