any idea for the writing curve?

1 wrong question = - ?

thats going to be pretty hard to predict, since we dont knwo how everyone else in the country did on the test yet

I hope you can get like 3 or 4 wrong and still get a 78.

Haha yay for super leninent PR curves. If only our writing curve was like that :(

That's a pretty lenient curve up there, it'd be crazy easy.

The curve mentioned above was the curve for an actual past test. On the CB Online Course, its the scale for Practice Test #6, which was an actually administered test. And besides, lets hope that the curve is lenient, cuz...

I didn't say it was impossible; I just said it was lenient, which I really think it is.

Wow, yeah, 3 wrong and still a 78? That is a REALLY lenient curve. Four wrong in January was a 69.

Alas, one can hope...

4 wrong was a 69? That sucks!!!!

How does the essay factor in to that score?

...i missed 1 and got a 770 (9 essay) in december...

4 or 3 wrong in October was a 74, I heard from someone

the essay is 30% of your final score, check SAT scaling charts for examples, the higher the essay, the higher your score can be. 74 with a 12 might become a 780, while 74 with a 9 might be more like a 730.

The curve directly above this post seems reasonable. I still hope they make this one really lenient, though :P.

Isn't it true that the lower the MC score, the more an higher grade essay can raise your score? So it wouldn't necessarily be 30% of the final score right? Or is that wrong, I'm not sure...

''4 or 3 wrong in October was a 74, I heard from someone''.

I don't see how because I missed 5 (omit 1) and got a 67.

On the janurary SAT I got 2 multiple choice wrong and a 12 (perfect) on the essay. I got a 790. One of my friends said she got a perfect on the multiple choice, but a 9 on the essay. She said she got an 800.

I'll bet it'll be about the same. But, I did think the April SAT writing section was more difficult than the one from Jan.

4 WRONG AND A 69????? Well, I bet this writing was a lil harder. I hope so at least

I missed 4 questions (680 mc) and got an 11 essay to get a total of only 730. :(

This was January btw.

Was 4/1 harder than January? Not having taken the January version, I have no idea, but someone who has taken both versions, which writing was "harder?"

Personally, I thought 4/1 was much easier. Perhaps this was because I focused on improving my writing because of my crappy mc on the January SAT.
