Get cracking. The test is in two days.

online my friend, online

I never paid =X they sent me a letter afterwards threatening me that they'd cancel my score etc. But nothing happened and i haven't heard from them ever again. =) This happened last year so it's not something I recommend, I'm just telling you it happened.

alright thanks. my dad is freaking out about it...."STUDY STUDY STUDY. THIS EXAM IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT FOR COLLEGE. they can even maybe revoke your acceptance. he wants me to be at the testing center at 7:30 (2 hours before test starts) i am like why in the f.uck would i want to be there that f.ucking early? he is like, so you can find your testing room +bathroom.
my dad is so stupid.

it will in no way revoke your admission! anyways, does anyone know what the format of this test will be like? is it a like a free response question? is it like the SAT writing portion?

This essay will be a joke. If you pass, you don't have to take remedial english, you don't pass, you do. BIG WHOOP DEE DOO!

There will be a story/prompt, and then we have to write an essay addressed the essay question given.

how many semesters/quarters can we get out of if we pass the writing exam?

Those students who have not met the requirement before entrance must satisfy the requirement before the beginning of their fourth quarter at UCI. Students who have not satisfied the requirement by that time will be ineligible to enroll for a fourth quarter.

Students enrolled in Humanities 20A-B-C-D (Essentials of Academic Writing) must enroll in an Analytical Writing course (English WR 37, WR 39A, or Humanities 1A S/A) immediately after they are authorized to do so.

The UC Entry Level Writing requirement may be met after admission by one of the following three options:

Passing the UC Analytical Writing Placement Examination given in mid-May (and on subsequent dates) to all entering freshmen admitted for fall quarter, 2005 (see Placement Testing). Transfer students who have not satisfied the UC Entry Level Writing requirement should contact the UCI Composition Program Office (420 Humanities Instructional Building); telephone (949) 824-6717.

Enrolling in sections of the Humanities Core Course designated "S/A." (NOTE: Students held for UC Entry Level Writing and enrolled in the Humanities Core must enroll in a S/A section of the Core Course during their first quarter. Successful completion of the writing component of these sections of this course with a letter grade of C or better will satisfy the requirement. Students who do not receive a letter grade of C or better in Humanities 1A S/A in fall quarter and who continue to be held for UC Entry Level Writing must enroll in Humanities 1B S/A during the winter quarter and satisfy the requirement by earning a letter grade of C or better.)

Taking English WR 37 or WR 39A and receiving a letter grade of C or better in that course.

The Pass/Not Pass grade option may not be used to satisfy the UC Entry Level Writing requirement.

Students enrolled at UCI may take only UCI courses in satisfaction of the UC Entry Level Writing requirement. Continuing UCI students may not take summer courses at another institution to satisfy this requirement.

hella easy!

Yes indeed

what did you guy write about, can you give some feedbacks of your examples and what score do you think you will receive.
Is it good that I connect the story with the "grapes of wrath" and how the grandpa died because of moving...?

I'm assuming everyone had the same topic ("staying put").

I wrote about film director Stanley Kubrick's migration to England, U.K. rock band The Clash's song "Should I Stay or Should I Go?" and a friend of mine deciding between a high paying job abroad or a 4 year university.

Yeah, sounds like ****ty material but I'm a pretty good writer so I think I passed with a composite score of 8 or 9...

can you comment on my examples- your example seems pretty good but I have a question were you against his view or support it?

I wonder if you were supposed to use more than one example? Grapes of Wrath is good, I don't remember the specific plotline too well but if you could make it work to support your view than it's a valid argument I guess.

I was in support of his view, but I also used some minor countering examples to show that the author wasn't simply making a point but raising questions as well.
