<p>Sorry if this is a repeat, but how is Princeton treating the writing SAT section this year?</p>

<p>I wrote to Princeton about this issue.</p>
<p>Their response goes something like:</p>
<p>Like the math and verbal sections, the writing section will be a helpful indicator in college admissions, but a single score from either of the three sections will not 'make or break' your application.</p>
<p>Lol, so what does that mean? Is it viewed as equal or slightly less?</p>
<p>I guess that's why they worded it ambiguously. =p</p>
<p>Judging from the tone, I think it's considered equally with regards, since I remember they also said something about the SAT Writing portion being relatively new and without percentiles...etc.</p>
