<p>okay, so on the supplement to one of my schools, i realized my social security number was off by one number. my whole family moved from canada to the usa fifteen years ago and we all got numbers at the same time. i asked my mom what my ssn was and she told my sister's number by mistake (i should know my number, i know, but i never remember it because all of our numbers are so similar). im panicking. i emailed the admissions director and told him. do you think this is going to affect me negatively?</p>
<p>I don’t think it should affect you negatively as long as you tell the college so that they can correct it.</p>
<p>For goodness sake make sure all the FA info has the correct SSN. It could be a nightmare to get THAT fixed.</p>
