Haha, so its been quiet here for a few days. Just thought I'd post to keep things interesting :-P

Hmmmm...but what to say? Oh, I know, did any of you see DaVinci Code?

I thought it was okay, but I'm a bigger fan of the book.

Haha, so its been quiet here for a few days. Just thought I'd post to keep things interesting :-P

Hmmmm...but what to say? Oh, I know, did any of you see DaVinci Code?

I thought it was okay, but I'm a bigger fan of the book.

I saw the DaVinci Code! I loved it, but yes the book is better.

I'll have to get cracking on that movie-seeing. I don't expect it to be better than the book though...and clearly it's not.

One more month! And time flies when it's the end of the school year and very little is actually happening in most classes.

Yea, I plan on seeing it next weekend. Its so soon! I have to start thinking about packing already although I will inevitably end up throwing a bunch of clothes in a bag the night before. And when I go shopping I can use it as an excuse, "you know mom you wont be able to buy me any new clothes for a whole month while im away" (eyes new clothes) lol

Im still nervous though...

Yeah, I definately need new clothes. I also want to buy an air conditioner...hopefully I can convince my parents

I thought about that ...but what if your roommate also brings one? Two air conditioners seem like a bit like a waste. I almost emailed her to ask if the rooms were assigned, so we could coordinate with our roomates about what to bring. lol.

[edit] Hm...actually it just hit me that I'm flying in, and bringing an air conditioner seems pretty ridiculous.

Yea I don't really think we'll need air conditioners that badly, we'll be in class for the hottest part of the day. I'd definitely vote for a fan, and if youre flying and your roomate doesnt bring one you could both just buy one for the month somewhere for like $15-$20 and not have to transport it. Just a thought.

Yeah you're right, but it was a nice thought...the whole trying to make dorm room seem luxurious and all that. Not luxurious as in silk curtains, but...more home-like, I suppose.

I haven't actually read the davinci code :-D. whoops! Maybe one day. My sister is buying a fan for me I think? We should make some sort of private thread/message/something so we can talk about stuff more freely? I don't know if that's possible on CC, but we could try?

i like gray's anatomy too :-).

18 days of school left for me oh em geeeee.

Nine for me! :D

I need to get a fan, but I haven't been thinking about WTP that much yet - let me get done with school and then I know I'll go into full-out "I can't wait till WTP!!!" mode. Right now I'm excited, but not incredibly so.

I have 11 days then a week of finals i think. And prom is on friday! http://www.cache.com/ProductZoomPopup.asp?pid=05043S29086968 :D

Wow that's such a pretty dress! Color+pattern=fun yet elegant.

Have fun at prom!

I think we only have 11 days left until finals too. I think.

aw thanks eightmagnets. I'm so not in a school mode anymore. I can't focus at all and I don't do anymore homework. well i mean i do it just in school. anyways im just excited about everything right now. :P

Yeah, I'm starting to get like that^
It's bad since we have another 2 weeks or so to go :(

2 weeks?! 11 days?! 9?! What's wrong with my county? I'm not getting out of school until June 20, 4 days before WTP starts. Better than last year I guess, when we got out a week before July 4.
I'm still counting the days though :)

Eeeek June 20th. When did you guys start? We're out...in twelve days, including finals week. Not bad, but it could come sooner. And of course, my brain began vacationing the day after my last AP test.

It's amusing how we're all complaining about school, when we're actually going to this "educational" program. Though, since this stuff is interesting (to us...) and there's a lack of grades/pressure it should be lots of fun.

haha good point 8magnets, are we trying to torture ourselves by going to school over the summer? But thisll be way funner than school. better be.

im studying for my stat final which is tmrw instead of during finals so thats good to get it out of the way. And graduations this weekend, which means we're pretty much seniors! oh man everythings happening so fast...

25 days* and let the countdown commence

We started first week of september, just like every other county around us, but we always end 1-2 weeks later. It's weird...and annoying. We also have a harder grading system. I think there's something wrong here...

But yeah, it is sorta funny that we're basically going back to school over the summer. But it'll be at a college, with only a few classes a day, and classes that we actually like. For me, this year was awful because I had an English teacher who was out to get me and a "test first teach later" policy in French. So I'm actually looking forward to more math and science classes.

Hey, is anyone else taking SATs/SATII's this weekend?

20 days more of school. And then 4 more until WTP!

Congrats to everyone who got into WTP!
I was one of the lucky ones who managed to attend WTP 2005 and had a blast. Remember at WTP homework is optional but sleep is not! Don't go crazy partying and be up at 6am still typing up your CS homework and then falling asleep in class the next day as some of us did (ahem me included).
Also bring a sweatshirt of CS class! the room is friggin cold and then the math room is stuffy warm...

Speaking of school getting out, my school ended the day before WTP last year. :D

Woohoo, done with SAT II's. The last "big" thing to stress about.

Thanks for the advice NguyetZahra! So glad to hear that so far, no one has had anything bad to say about the program.

Right, our countdown...21 days.
