Oh, don’t worry. I didn’t and I wouldn’t. As long as it’s not April 1st, can’t really say they’re late! I’m sure they have a ton of applications to go through. Frankly, I’m impressed by the fact that they usually make decisions few weeks before everyone else…

Anyone else know how we’re finding out?

Sent from my SGH-T959V using CC

on the WUSTL portal

more people call the office, they might tell someone

No. They literally never tell.

They obviously give hints… the guy on the last page just got one.

They often give hints like that and they’re often wrong. The receptionists don’t know exactly what the plan is and they certainly won’t give a bigger hint than to start looking next week. Not to mention the fact that if they hype the release date, tons of people flood the site and cause it to crash. It happens for many schools.

I’ve been through this for several years now and it’s always the same, so please just trust me. And if you want to find out so badly, why not call them yourself?

Yeah I’ve called twice. But I actually sort of have a vested interest in knowing because soon I’ll be out of country… The first time was a week ago and I was just told that no information was available other than on or before April 1st. This time when I called, recently, I was transferred to someone who proceeded to tell me what I posted earlier about “checking next week”. It’s not as HUGE a deal for me because I’m in at UChicago (EA) but I really wish we could find out tomorrow and not next week haha… that’s unfortunate!

ugh ok sorry! really i’m just trying to analyze the decision date because otherwise i would have to study for a midterm tomorrow…

to the poster who suggested sending an email to the college where the student is wait listed, whom in particular do you think such an email should be sent to? (the admission counselor or the dean of admission). thanks in advance.

Wait, could it really be tomorrow? Where did you hear that?

Yeah CC is often my excuse for not doing hw. You aren’t the only one!

MidwestGirl7, March 8th has been seen as the decision date for quite some time. Last year they were released on March 9th (a Friday), and I think the same happened the year before that, and the year before that, etc.

Oh wow, okay! At least I’ll have something to think about during the school day tomorrow. I must say, I haven’t been following WashU very closely because I’m not really expecting to be admitted anyway.

How much do you think an interview helps in terms of interest? I had one, but a local alumna made the first contact.

Also my interviewer called my teacher literally months after my interview. I’m wondering if this happened to any of you or if this is a good or bad sign.

I never had an interview. I contacted them but got no response. I wish I had one, I hear the WashU is big into demonstrated interest, and I’m actually not bad at talking to people in person

i demonstrated no interest. except for one call because my application status was messed up. :’(

If it’s any consolation, I didn’t show any interest whatsoever.

Do you guys know if WashU gives any merit scholarships besides the ones we had to apply for on the App?

is applying for the scholars in medicine considered demonstrating interest?
