Ok. What I don’t understand is University of Wisconsin-Madison accepts 61% of its applicants (21,335 applied) and Yahoo says its Very Difficult entrance level. On the other hand University of Delaware- Newark accepts 42% of its applicants(22,020 applied) and they say its !Moderately! Difficult Entrance level. What the hell is going on???

I think it's taking into consideration the quality of the applicants, b/c clearly UW-M is a better university by far than UD-N in regards to a number of aspects. So there's the answer: the quality of applicants and the standards set by the university for what they consider to be an acceptable student.

agreed...check avg SAT/ACT scores, GPA's, class ranks, etc...
the one i don't understand is that someone told me loyola in chicago is much better than loyola in new orleans when the stats for new orleans are undeniably better
