Yale bulldog days for admitted students

vivaldi87, "CHOPIN'S FANTASIE-IMPROMPTU "..... *FAINTS FAINTS FAINTS FAINTS *

oooh, and his "Raindrop" Prelude......

I'm really going to enjoy living in a setting worthy of classical music for the next few years....

just a q.... I'm an international from Ukraine so don't jusdge me strict on that - DOES THE MUSICAL LIBRARY IMPLY A HUGE COLLECTION OF MUSIC YOU CAN CHECK OUT?????? FAINTS AGAIN

I believe so (I'm not positive, though), and all of the desks set up in the Music Library are equipped with CD players - it's a very quiet space, so people like to study there while listening to music.

oh..Raindrop...I LOVE Horowitz's v. what's your fav?

and yes, the prospect of "living in a setting worthy of classical music" is just ONE OF THE THINGS THAT GET ME MOST EXCITED ABOUT YALE;)

equipped with cd players? amazing!

yeah, the tour guide bragged about that :)

And I really stood out as a prospective architecture major...I almost fell behind the group because my parents couldn't get me to keep my eyes off the ceiling :)

vivaldi87, OHH so you HAVE BEEN THERE... It sucks being an Intl:) Apparently, you DID like campus a lot?))

my favorite piece-that is hard to say. um, maybe any brahms chambermusic? the chopin scherzi, the rachmaninoff pno concerti? ALL SOO GOOD! and then there is sacred music, of which yale has loooots...

Yale's campus is STUNNING - even more so than in pictures...

Here's more to gawk at:

I'm planning on going to bulldog days too, but I've got a track meet on that tuesday...though it is against a school that uses the same people for their 4x400, 4x800, and 1600 (but not because they want to). So I'm thinking that I'll party on over to New Haven.

Screw the track meet! Bulldog days is much more important :)

prepster05, RACHMANINOFFF. %%%. that's love of my life. Also Brahms, yes, and Chopin. And Prokofiev goes here as well...Scriabin? Liszt?

shostakovitch, schumann, tchaikovsky, frank, saint-saens.....

saint-saens definitely, anyone for Debussy? also Stravinsky.

huh it seems like there'll be a bunch of classical music junkies meeting with the CC badges... sounds like fun;)
