Well according to T26E4: “Yale accepts about 1950 applicants each year. Only 200-300 Likely letters are issued. My calculator tells me that the vast majority of accepted students never get one.”

Yale seems like really like women in science/engineering.

I didn’t mean to sound intrusive when I asked about her stats. I was just wondering if there was a specific pattern in the selection … Sorry :)

I received a call last night and I live in the NW.

@clairebear what are your stats?

2390, 35, 4.0 loads of community service (lots with kids), varsity tennis captain, robotics team captain, independent science research, job at local research facility, 8 AP’s (all 5’s) + 7 more this year, 3 college math classes, essays were solid, glowing recs

Any non-STEM, non-athlete, non-URMs receive likelies?

I saw from the early thread that very few people who didn’t fall into at least one of these categories were admitted too so I’m also looking for a trend haha

Clairebear, you my friend are the definition of a beeeeeeast.

got phone message from Yale admission office to return their phone call tomorrow. The message said “they have questions on my application”. Could this be for a likely call?

@ram. Thanks
@Hamlet. Could be. I wasn’t home when they first called and the guy just asked my dad to have me call him back. He wasn’t all like “OMG OMG your kid got in!”

just got a likely letter…couldn’t believe it at first, thought it had to be a prank phone call. Then I logged in, and YALE BULLDOGS CLASS OF 2017!!!

^
Congratulations! You must be over the moon
There was never any chance of that happening to me, so I’m happy that so many of you are getting this great news!
