I was accepted by georgetown EA but Yale is definitely my first choice, I decided not to apply early just because I wanted to work more on my app. Wow unicameral, congrats!

Anyway, I got the email regarding the eli account, set it up and everything but it keeps telling me the id or password is wrong. I’ve changed my password 3 times and everything but the same message keeps appearing.
This is not a good start… I guess I’ll just try again tomorrow at this point.
Does anyone else have the same problem?

just came on here to post about the same problem. I’ve already reset my password twice because I thought I was just being an idiot :p

thanks guys <3 lili4ka, I haven’t visited anywhere yet so I don’t really know where I want to be, and yale sounds awesome plus the supplement wasn’t horrid (I’m looking at you, Brown…)

I thought the worst supplement was stanford’s Idk why it was just a pain personally.
Oh okay that makes me feel better it was driving me crazy!!

My daughter got her yale ID and she chose a password for it. She activated her Eli account. But when she uses her eli id and password, it doesnt work. It says invalid id or password. She is entering the correct password. But she is not able to enter into the yale application status page. What is she doing wrong? Xan anyone help? Thanks

To everyone having trouble with the Eli Accounts: it may be easier to simply call in to Yale and ask. Another option is to wait until tomorrow and let the servers calm down before trying to access your account again.

Hopefuljustice, yeah, I’m kind of regretting applying to Yale early, but hey, I’ll take my deferral, haha.

canadian2013, I think that’s what they do. Then they set aside some cases to argue in full committee or whatever in late March.

Yes but at least they know you’re interested. At some point I regretted it, because another factor influencing my decision was the (erroneous) thought that extremely selective schools did not accept internationals early (while I had proof gtown did), and when I heard a girl from my city got into Princeton I felt dumb and I had the feeling I lost a chance to prove to the admission office that Yale really is the college in my heart.
My point is: the college application process makes us feel regretful and stupid no matter what we do, so it’s better to accept that fact and try our best to make wise choices.

Is anyone else having issues with their test scores? I submitted all of my SAT I and II scores on the 31st, but none of the schools I applied to have received them yet. How long would it usually take to show up?

this is pretty weird. When i logged onto my Eli account it says that Yale has received my Common App but not my supplement? How is that even possible? I submitted the Yale Supplement before I submitted the common app, and Princeton has already received my supplement, which was sent after Yale’s…what?..
