Yale Class of 2018 RD Discussion Thread

@crazylimes Yale NUS maybe?

@trinidadjames22 oh right okay I’ll ask her

You were right! It was Yale NUS :)

Feeling like a weight has lifted off my shoulders :slight_smile: I stupidly didn’t apply anywhere EA or rolling admissions so have been SUPER stressed just hoping I’ll get in anywhere and I just got my first decision/first acceptance. I’m sure the stress will return closer to Ivy Day, but for right now I’m Happy! (cue Pharrel Williams’ top hat)

@SummerAus Same, Nice to have one acceptance somewhere you know you’ll love to go. Makes a whole lot of difference with the way you approach these things.

@SummerAus Congrats! Same situation except that I have yet to have an acceptance in my back pocket hahahaha headdesk.

thank you! Acceptance is to Scripps College btw, what about you @TrinidadJames22 ? @dnacingwriter your username suggests that we would get on really well!

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. :((

…?

@SummerAus @TrinidadJames22 @dnacingwriter congratulations!! I didn’t apply early anywhere either… and yet I mysteriously received two admissions within a week of applying to two schools :-/ (not that I’m complaining :wink: )… But yeah, that’s great!!! Congrats!

@Dontor why the anguished wail? If it’s about UCLA: I feel ya, bro. I feel ya. Just got rejected from UCLA/accepted to UW Madison… (well I like UW Madison better, so there :wink: )

@SummerAus Yale NUS :)

@jackson61 Thanks mate, I got another one today too, University of Edinburgh, but I like NUS better :slight_smile: Whatever happens next week, happens.

@TrinidadJames22 I visited Scotland two summers ago - right during festival, too. Needless to say, Edinburgh is my absolute favourite place. :D

@TrinidadJames22 Edinburgh? So does that mean you applied to any other places in the UK?

@LAMuniv

@astaff95 Yeah, UCL, Durham, Manchester B-)

Tried to check the Yale Application Checklist and got this daunting message:

!!! Only a 5 days, 6 hours, and 27 minutes!!! (Hi everyone, btw, I’m not really that present on this thread so here’s my introduction)

I think I’m a gigantic dumbass because I managed to forgot my ELI password. What do I do now?

@astaff95 that happened to me like 5 times somehow, haha. If you search “yale eli account” you can find a page where you can reset you password, I believe.

@LAmuniv, right I knew you could do that when the website was still active, but someone just made a post saying that the website is down now.
