Yale Class of 2027 Official Thread

what did they update?

Not sure but they updated my IDOC documents and tax statements as received and also removed the request for “IRS retrieval tool” Student & Parent which just redirected to a fafsa website which was no longer active.

Had to have been updated yesterday or today

it should have a date indicating when they received it. did they not have those documents before?

oh yes, marked as 3/10/23

It looks like a good sign, if they’re looking at your fin aid docs this late. Good luck to you.

No but we do for a school he was accepted to and it matches the date we received the letter. Not all the schools update. Like Parent in Georgia we also have Umich which is the only school with matching dates 3/31. only 4 schools have award letter dates and one matches the date we received the award.

Where do you find award letters in CSS?

yale is need blind
financial aid and admissions team don’t work together

if you look on the list of schools you added, it will be on there under colleges and programs

so was the other school. Im not saying its the same at every school. Im just wondering if some actually update when they do indeed have an award letter ready to go.

Daughter’s income verification form dated around 2/22 with the long file name disappeared. Thoughts?

Mine’s still there, with the longer message. Also dated 2/22.

My son had a rejection at REA on 12/10, it shows a date of 12/22 for that college.

Thank you for sharing this. I think we are all wondering what these forms mean and perhaps they don’t mean that much.

Wishing your son good luck for RD!

My Household verification with that long text has a stamp of 3/2

Apparently hers is still there. Was maybe looking in the wrong place. :grimacing:

Yes, they’re need blind, but I doubt fin aid is doing this for all 50000 applicants.

Yea. Especially since they have just 8 people in the undergraduate aid department (it’s on their directory)
