Weird coz I’m an international student who’s not eligible to submit FAFSA, but still got the doc. And so did my other friends (who I’ll argue are gonna get into multiple Ivies given application strength)
Thats why I asked if anyone had an award date on their CSS profile next to an ivy
Do you have a date next to an ivy on your CSS profile?
i was also deferred and had my interview legit a week before rea decisions came out…i also didn’t apply for aid, but I filed the fafsa so yale gave me a fin aid checklist. last night when I checked, three forms went missing (tax returns and the 1040)…that’s the only change I’ve seen
Does Barnard count?
Guys, CSS award date means nothing. My Georgetown one says 2/1 but I got deferred, and well, obviously no financial aid award.
award date really doesnt matter a friend of mine applied to Union EA and got rejected but has an award date next to her CSS
Did you turn down continued interest? Maybe you’re getting accepted?
I have 4 award letter dates. One of them is a university to, which I already got into and the three others I haven’t heard from yet. If this is true, then it’s great.
My D received an interview now, about two weeks before the results. At least good sign that its not rejected. But I still think its too late. Any thoughts? Though, we are happy. TIA
If that’s the case, I would expect to see an award letter date for UVA, as I got accepted EA and have gotten my aid package (UVA ily guys again, ty). However, I don’t have that date whatsoever, so I truly think it means nothing.
I dont believe anyone does. Do you?
Not every school updates CSS. Some do, Some dont.
If CSS is indicative of acceptance: Stanford, Georgetown, Northeastern, Amherst, Williams. Here I come.
Now I’m curious; is there anyone here to applied to those schools and doesn’t have an award letter date?
Does the date match the day they sent you your award letter?
I got rejected from Caltech yet my CSS profile still says an award date of 04/28/2023. Thus, I doubt it means anything
no, i doubt they mean anything. i think it’s just a display shown to everyone. certain schools display it and certain ones don’t. there’s a school i was waitlisted from that shows an award letter date.
will be interesting to see if you get in and if thats when the award letter is dated
Do you think not getting an interview means rejection?
I think you are better off not having anything to see…looking at the financial aid list and trying to glean information from it is stressing me out and not really accomplishing anything. I keep telling myself no matter how many times I look at the portals I still can’t change the outcome! My son has the right idea, he’s not looking at them until he gets an email that the decision is ready. Hopefully these last 2 1/2 weeks will fly by.
