Yale Class of 2027 Official Thread

I’m not sure, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to how it all works. I will keep my fingers crossed for your daughter that this means good news! Its hard not to feel positive when its getting down to the wire and there are recent portal updates, etc. It would make sense if they are asking for all of this info a week out from decisions. But sadly, nothing seems to make sense anymore in college admissions…right now its out of our hands. We will know in a week and then next year there will be new portal astrology lol

when you say recent do you mean the month of march? or that some of your docs where downloaded in November then some in feb?

Some were downloaded in November when applied. Two docs were recently requested.

Again this is guess and keeping hopes based on her acceptance in JHU. I heard similar thing from two other parents.

was a “verification statement of household information” recently requested?

Hi, I’m an international RD candidate, and my financial aid application looks like this. Is that normal?

Did you submit these in march or did the dates change recently?

Have you not submitted your CSS profile?

By the looks of it, he submitted the ISFAA

Please do not worry. You have to ask someone from your region/ country. The Financial aid for you is always going to look different than those in US.

I’m curious, are those the dates that you submitted your stuff? Or at some point did they change to reflect the 3/9, 3/14 dates?

My son got a request from Swarthmore to complete a verification and he was accepted RD. We got the request on 8 March and the results were posted on the 17th. There was one other person who posted about having the same email and they were admitted as well.

We have the notice from Yale dated February 22 and would be thrilled if it turned out the same way. Realistically I don’t think it means anything, but it’s nice to hope! I’m just glad my kid has options! Good luck everyone!

In Feb. But another doc recently.

My son hasn’t received a likely letter. yet. Does it mean that he has no chance and will be rejected?

he would’ve gotten a likely letter by now

You don’t need to ask in every single forum because the answer is the same

The vast majority of accepted applicants will not have received a likely letter

Only a very small percentage of kids will get a likely letter. Don’t panic

I submitted it in March and they sent me an email indicating my Yale ID and some missing documents… I don’t think the email means something instead a request for lost documents.

Do you mean, Yale SID?
If yes, Yale SID is exclusively for admitted students
