On Yale’s website, they say that a student only needs to fall within their income table to be eligible for a fee waiver. They make it seem very simple. However, the directions to actually get the application fee waived is confusing. It says that I need to say on the Common App that I feel like my financial circumstances hinder me from paying for an application fee, but the requirements for getting a Common App fee waiver are much more difficult than the requirements Yale puts forth. How do I get the fee waiver if I am only eligible for Yale’s fee waiver, but I don’t need the Common App’s requirements?
