Yale - FreshPerson versus FOOT for pre-orientation

S is in Yale class of 2011. Would love opinions on the FreshPerson versus the FOOT programs at Yale. The FreshPerson seems to give a better opportunity to meet and spend time with a larger number of students, versus the 8 or so at FOOT, but people seem to love FOOT. Do students love the FreshPerson (FPC) also?

thanks!

D is also class of 2011. She chose FOOT because she thought that she'd end up with closer friendships at the end. Although I think your S may have missed the FOOT deadline.

You might be better on the Yale board.

My daughter did FOOT. I have mixed feelings about it. It made packing and getting ready to leave much, much harder because we had to focus on obtaining all the camping gear in addition to moving her across the country - and then getting it back across the country again. It was also very strenuous and I think she came back exhausted with very little time to move in and get settled.
