For those accepted, how many of you are going to Experience Yale-NUS Weekend?
I might. I love that they cover all the costs, even for international students!
I probably will! But I’m a little worried that I’ll be asleep for most of the day and awake for the night since I’m literally 11 hours behind SG time. It’s like almost the worst time difference possible I-)
@PartyNextDoor I will probably go too. I wouldn’t if it they didn’t cover all the costs, since i’m an international, but i think it is important to see the actual place where I may live for 4 years.
Oooooo yeahhhhhh babiessss!!! Just got accepted soo happy!!! ;))
Are all local students going to the weekend? Not sure if I am… I’m confident that I want to go to Yale-NUS.
Oh my freaking god! They gave me 47,000 dollars omg omg omg omg
@rahuilmars231 Congrats on being accepted into your top choice (with a scholarship, too)!! All the hard work paid off
Rejected! LOL wasn’t a top choice. I don’t think I even wrote the optional extra essay. Would have been a cool option, but I already have some great acceptances in the US.
However, does anyone know if this means anything for my chances to Yale proper? I know they say it doesn’t, but…?
Rejected, didn’t get an interview! It’s okay, didn’t want to go to Singapore for college anyway
Hi! It’s written in my offer that only “admitted” students are invited. Do people first need to accept their admission offers and THEN sign up for the weekend? Because technically, they aren’t admitted until they accept their admission offers, yes? Let me know!
P.S. I’m going! You all who are planning to go – let me know! I’ll look for y’all on 15th April!
@PartyNextDoor I think I will, because they’re covering the international travel expenses!
@heymay99 I don’t we need to accept the offer just yet! I signed up for the Experience Yale-NUS Weekend, but I didn’t fill out the Online Reply Form yet! Where are you from? America?
Oh my God I didn’t read carefully enough to notice that Yale-NUS is offering to fly us out! That’s incredibly generous, wow I did NOT think visiting was an option but now it is!
@PartyNextDoor No, I’m from Bangladesh! How about you?
@heymay99 I’m from the US! Hopefully I’ll get to see all of you in April!
@LikeThis Yep same thing happened to me haha!
@heymay99 I’m from Bangladesh too. Got wait-listed yesterday.
@thetsaria Yale-NUS and Yale-New Haven are completely separate entities in terms of admission, I believe.
Got deferred after an interview in Round 1 and just got a rejection letter today really disappointed about it, but I still have one more chance next year before I enter college. Congrats to all those who got in and hope to see you there eventually!!
