Yale or Northwestern 7yr Med Program?

I am so confused as to which school to choose.

Yale has been my dream school since I ever knew there was something called college, and it will be an awesome undergard experience. But on the other hand, I will be risking becoming a doctor, ever in my life.

Northwestern offered me a guaranteed admission to the med school with 3 years of undergrad. That means I will be a doctor before I'm 30... and I that's the only career I want, at least right now.

People tell me I'm such a yale-ish person, that they can all see me there, but I also want to be practical.

I am so confused.... What do you guys think?

If you really want to go to medical school, then chose NW. Why go through college worrying about getting a 4.0 average, when you can enjoy yourself.

Personally, I have a lot of qualms with accelerated programs. My reasons are numerous, and you can do a search to find my posts on the issue.

The fact that you said "at least right now" is where most of my problem begins. I don't know the requirements for NW's program, nor the details of their curriculum or anything like that, but you need to know these things forwards and backwards before you decide.

Visit both schools. If you love Yale, then go there. If you don't like the atmosphere at NW, go to Yale. But otherwise, my opinion is that NW is the better deal b/c u'll be a doctor faster. Its whatever you're more comfortable with.
