Hey, I didn’t see a thread for Yale transfer students for 2022-2023 school year so I thought I’d make one Please share any thoughts, comments, or advice!
Hello I’m just really curious on how this application process will go. In the past they accepted between 20-30 transfers ( 10-11 that are usually traditional), but with covid making so many schools over enroll. I wonder if that would affect this application process.
I have the same thoughts. I heard that that class of 2025 was at its capacity to the point where they had to find additional living spaces. I am not sure if that is true but I know they have very little available spots…I’m just wondering how little
has anyone gotten a request for interviews?
I haven’t. Do they do interviews for transfer students?
I saw on Reddit that some EWSP students have received interview requests. Unfortunate, as I applied through the EWSP.
Thanks for letting me know! I’d love to hear more about your experiences applying over the years.
I got an ao interview last year when i applied as a transfer. Now i just received another ao interview today.
I am not sure if this helps just thought I would add. Also I am a traditional transfer student from a t10 university.
If you don’t mind me asking, how was your interview??
hi! i just got an email offering a virtual recorded interview through StandOut. does everyone who applies for transfer get this? i’m assuming it’s nothing special since it says on their FAQ that select applicants are asked for actual interviews with an admissions officer. i also had an interview with alumni when applying as a freshman and still didn’t get accepted. thanks in advance and best of luck!
Yah, I got one today too
Has anyone got an offer for an interview with an admissions officer?
Yeah I got one too. Idk what to think.
I received one as well.
Yes, received the Virtual Video interview through StandOut, it says it is optional. Not sure, if I should complete it or not? What are you all doing? Does it help, any one knows anything?
Hey guys ! Has anyone gone through with the stand out interview? What was it like ? Any tips ?
The interview asks 4 questions, and I would say they are standard interview questions about when you have struggled, succeeded, had to listen, etc. I think the best preparation is just to reflect on your academic journey thus far!
Does anyone know if the majority of transfers received an admissions interview?
Does anyone know when this standout interview is due?
