-Northwestern
-Georgetown
-U Mich
-Boston College
-U of Holy Cross (tons of legacy)
-University of Chicago
-Brown
-Tufts

Thanks a lot for any help!

the gpa and sat scores dont really scream slacker btw-they're pretty good, especially with that courseload.

talk about slackers, I know people who have like 3.5 weighted gpas with NO honors classes, so yeah.

Well even though you're a slacker, you'll still probably get into holy cross, lafayette, and umichigan

It's a shame you didn't get straight 5s on your very impressive AP exam load. Overall, what you need is something like a great teacher rec that really stands out, or a superb essay. That will make the difference between you and the tons of other people with equal stats. Lots of clubs, but colleges aren't stupid, they can sense if you arbitrarily form a prestigious sounding club and name yourself president. So if your clubs are legit, it can really help you, but if it is apparent to the college that your clubs are just... there too look handsome... it won't help you. The best way to make the clubs look really good is to be able to say interesting things about them.

Yeah, one of the things that stands out is my essay. I am pretty sure that it will be the first time the reader will see anything like it, but I am still looking for more opinions on if I have a chance on some of the higher colleges I listed. Thanks.

your school is in the top 100 in the nation, unless these colleges have lots of other applicants from your school with higher GPAs, i feel like theyll cut you some slack because of this rigorous reputation.

id say lafayette (did you visit? i applied there too and they look heavily at interest), umich, holy cross, bc.

you definitely have a shot at some of the others but i dont want to be too lenient a chancer and get your hopes up when i dont really know too much about these schools specifically.

Bump, looking for some more chances please :).

You're definitely qualified in terms of your ECs. SAT scores in range for most of your colleges (save Brown, and maybe Cornell and NU). You have a very impressive courseload, especially considering you called yourself a slacker. I think you'll get into laf, umich, holy, and bc. You'll probably get into Cornell as well. Brown is a reach b/c of GPA and NU is a good shot based on your recs and essays. Good luck!

Bump for a couple more opinions. So far, everyone has helped.

Bump :(...

Well if your essays are as good as you say they are, then you have a very high chance in getting into UChicago.

that isn't slacker at all! That is like me..although I tend to slack at home, but I pay attention in school! Just for taking those classes, you can't be a slacker..I don't know your chances sorry I don't want to make anything up

wow...what a slacker...only a 2120 on your SAT...forgive me for my lack of sympathy, but understand the condescending tone

hmm i'm not sure about most of hte schools, but you have a decent chance at laffeytte for sure, defently Boston College, good chance, um i'm applying to U chicago with similar stats, just a tiny (probably negligible) bit higher sats and gpa, and i think that it's probably a low reach for both of us. My school has this thing with Cornell that alot of people get accepted (for example someone that was 107/600 in their class) but i know for most schools it's harder to get in, so i'm not sure. good luck though!

oh, georgetown is a jerk i hear with GPA like they really want perfect-ish ones, but still try, it's always worth looking into

Well, by slacker, I mean someone who does not work too hard, and is rather lazy. In my opinion, SAT scores do not really reflect that because they are more about natural intelligence and problem-solving. In this case, lower than attainable GPAs and ECs are the result of slacking off.
