So: declining GPA trend has left me with a 3.44 u/w GPA (3.52 weighted). My courses are the toughest at my school (AP World in soph, 4 APs jr year, 5 APs senior year), I have extracurriculars that I’m dedicated to and an art portfolio, and I have a fairly unusual major in mind (art history – okay, maybe not that unusual, but for an Indian it’s a major leap xP), but I’m nothing extraordinary.

Is it even worth it to consider Brown ED? My GPA is so weak (and even if I get straight As first quarter, I don’t think it’d help much) that I don’t think I would stand up to the competition. Any advice? Besides write a killer essay of course, haha. Should I just wait it out at another college for a year and transfer if I still want to go to Brown?

If Brown is your first choice, you may apply ED... but honestly, your chances are so slim that you might as well "play the ED card" at another reach school where you have slightly better chances.

Make sure you can manage your senior schedule. Not just for admissions at Brown, but also for admissions at any school. Your schedule is getting harder and harder, but you said your GPA is declining.

GPA is relatively unimportant at this point-how is your rank, and has it been declining. As for ED, if your scores aren't perfect or near perfect, i'd say you have little chance.
