You Are Tiger Town Bound

We heard nothing - still waitlisted.

@Baxter126 Thank you for the update on the fall rush time frame and move in date. So to clarify the appropriate date for hotel reservation is Aug 12, female students will be able to move into dorms on 13th and families head home on that date? No family orientation obligations factions? Thank you!

@RelocatedYankee yes. I think so. Here is the website. It’s seems like they are working through getting it updated, though it’s not complete yet.

There are no activities for families at move-in anytime.

Has anyone on the waitlist heard anything yet? Has anyone called admissions and heard how many spots they’re projecting?

We wrote to them, and they were a bit cranky. They said if there is a “need” for us to fill spots - we will let you know.

@mags425 Ouch… I wrote to them in February and received a “We will definitely keep you in mind!”, and took it as a, “Thanks for your interest, but no thanks.” After hearing that I’m not keeping high hopes about getting off.

Update: I got in from the waitlist yesterday!!! I cried when I saw the email! I called in early April, and emailed in February about my interest.

did anyone receive diversity scholarships?

@poeticpromises Congratulations on the acceptance!!!

Got accepted out of state, however, I got in for the Summer of 2019. This means that I have to take two classes in the summer at Clemson for an additional cost of about $11,000 which I simply don’t have because I already have to come up with $50,000 a year. It is extremely heartbreaking that I have to go through this because Clemson is my dream school and I could’ve done about anything to go there but I just cannot pay an extra $11,000 for no reason. I think they need to do a better job in making the school affordable for their students because this is just ridiculous.

MODERATOR’S NOTE: This is last year’s thread, so I am closing it.
