? And if you do, what score do you put down on college apps, or do you put down both from both tries?
B/c I took the physics one w/o enough prep, and my teacher said he'd help me out this time around, so it can be retaken, right?

You can retake subject tests. Just put down the higher score on your application. Colleges will still see the lower score (because the SAT score report includes every test you've taken), but they'll realize that you retook it and will put more weight on the higher score.

Yup .

how many times can u retake the tests?

when do u basically take them junior year or senior year of high school, and can anyone suggest good books for them

you can take them anytime...i know some 8th graders who have taken it

and I have Barron's to be good for the ones I took, except for Physics (PR is better) and US history (the AMSCO APUSH book is enough)

can retake as many times, but beyond two looks kind of bad

anyone tried AP java yet?

AP Comp sci, silly! and yes they use Java 1.5 on that...

how many APs do u generally do in high school? (just new to the curriculum)

how come i see ur message only when i have typed in the second one

most kids do 3 by the time they are juniors, so I guess maybe 4-5 is average...

I am going to have 13 by the time I graduate :D

though it was sent earlier by 2 minutes

what are you talking about????

Well my high school only offers 5 AP classes (it's a small catholic high school) so I'm only going to have 4 by the time I graduate (no AP Euro for me...).

Yeah - number of APs is only meaningful in the context of your school's offerings. There isn't really a general standard.
