Has anyone here ever dealt with telling the school about previous schools you’ve attended after already being admitted to the school? I’m going to let my school know regardless of the outcome, but I just want to see what people’s experience has been.

Well I went to previous schools but I couldn’t get a hold of those transcripts, it was years ago and I think they don’t keep them. I cant even remember the grade I got in the two classes I took, which were not even transferable. I’m not worried at all, those grades are long gone and have zero transferability, they probably don’t even have the records, and if they do big deal I’ll just say my identity was stolen years ago in order to maybe get a tax credit for schooling, or some type of financial aid. What, are they gonna do a full on FBI investigation to find out? lol. Yea right, I doubt they care unless you went to a school for longer than a week within the last 5 years.

I took a class 4 years ago at Evergreen Community College. That class was “MATH-022 201 Trigonometry” According to Assist.org, it is not listed on the transferable math page. Do I still have to report it? Or am I just reading it incorrectly?

@foothilltransfer you report everything. How are people still not understanding this? If you’ve ever taken a college class, you list it on your app. There’s no exceptions.

Everyone!!! i just report the changes to UCB, UCD and UCLA that i forgot to report the classes i took 4 years ago while i was in high school. the current GPA i had now is 3.9. but the class i had in that college was 2.5( 2W, 1B, 1C) none of them are transferable except for the “intro to stats” which i received a W on it. I contacted my UCB’s admission officer, who decision whether or not i got in UCB or not. He told me, since I inform him previously and to be honest, he gave me a chance to letting me in even tho i didnt report my grade in my UC application. I was extremely happy and no more worry. Then I receive UCD’s email afterward said the class i updated had no impact on my admission. Right now… i just waiting for UCLA… which might take up to a week to get a response from them…

Congrats. Did you call them or e-mail them? I’m really nervous about all of this.

The best way is to Email them and state the course number and name of your courses which avoid any ambiguity. I report the class using the class update in myUCLA and myUCD website. also… for UCSD… i called them, and a guy picked up my phone… he sound like he just woke up from the bed and he said UCSD doesnt even care as long as you dont receive any D or F…lol

I just sent my note to Davis through the Update Coursework thing. This has been the biggest mistake of my academic career by far. I’ve already submitted my SIR to Davis and all that too, and the courses on my transcripts were pretty bad… it dropped my GPA down to a 3.1 =/

Wow, they already got back to me. I’m still in !!! (although I have to finish my planned courses with a C or better, which will be easy I’m on track to get A’s in em.) So excited to get that stuff off my chest. Glad I saw this thread.

Congrats Lionhjp~!

I disagree.

On my UC App, there was a course drop down menu where I was only able to select transferable courses to “tell them.”

@lion:
what did you say to them, and what exactly did they respond?
